Maeci was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (February 2010), and today, MAECI IS CANCER FREE!  Maeci was granted a Make-A-Wish in November of 2010 and traveled to the Magic Kingdom with her good friend Gracie.  On February 26, 2010, Gracie Bennett was diagnosed with a stage 2 Oligoastrocytoma, a very rare tumor found mostly in male adults (1.8%) and even more rare in a child.  Currently, Gracie is undergoing chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan.  You can learn more about Maeci and Gracie and their efforts to give back at www.maeciandgracie.com. 

MATTHEW LENKER

The following are pictures of my friend Matthew Lenker and his family on their Make-A-Wish Trip to Disney Word this past Christmas.  Please enjoy!

Matthew is a strong-willed, happy boy who loves to learn and play outside.  He lives on a farm with his family and his favorite job is to feed the horses and cows.  When he's not playing on the farm, Matthew loves to spend time with his family, who call him the "snuggle bug."

Unlike other three year-old boys, Matthew battles Laryngomalacia, Tracheomalacia, and Dysphagia which strongly affect his ability to eat and breath.  When the Make-A-Wish Foundation(R) volunteers asked Matthew about his wish, right away he knew he wanted to have dinner in the castle with Cinderella.
